.seattle to cape town with no major issues.

Yes, I have successfully reached the cape. It’s been quite a few flights, and not much sleep, but I have arrived safely. From Seattle I had met up with Naphtalie, who was on my outreach to Mozambique, and her friend Tara, both of whom are doing the track. So we were able to fly together in a bit of an entourage all the way here to Cape Town. It was good to know a couple people that I was traveling with. In Singapore, as we were going through security before our flight to Johannesburg, we also met Morgan, who will also be participating in the track…so our group ended up growing by one member.

The four of us arrived into Cape Town a little after 11 this morning. Thankfully, one of the PhotogenX Staff Members Carla, and another man from the YWAM base came to the airport to pick us up and drive us back to the base. It was a blessing we didn’t have to pay for a taxi considering the base (in an area called Muizenberg) was about thirty minutes away from the airport. So after a bit of a drive, the four of us along with our bags were unloaded from the back of the small pick-up.

So I now live with three Korean gentlemen. They’ve were a part of the PhotogenX DTS, but have welcomed me nicely to the room. After unpacking a bit, I ended up taking a two-point-five hour nap. I think this was a good decision.

Tonight will be our first meeting since us new people have arrived. I’m excited to get this show on the road…

I will let you guys know how it goes.
